My Journey from Shadow to Shine

Becoming Her: My Story

“I didn’t always see beauty in myself. But somewhere between the shadows and the silence, I learned how to shine.”

A Little About Me

“I used to live in the shadows—of self-doubt, comparison, and perfectionism. For years, I chased a version of beauty that felt hollow and unattainable, until the day I turned inward and realized my true glow had nothing to do with mirrors. It was about healing, embracing vulnerability, and nurturing myself from within.

I created From Shadow to Shine as a space to share that journey of healing, self-love, and becoming the truest version of myself.”

This blog is a reflection of my journey, and I hope it serves as a reminder that you, too, are worthy of blooming in your own time.

  • The Story I’ve Never Fully Told
There’s a part of my story I’ve never shared in its fullness. Not because I was hiding— but because I was still inside it. Because some transformations are so silent, so sacred, they need time to root before they can rise. But I think I’m ready now. Not to dramatize the pain, but to honor… Read more: The Story I’ve Never Fully Told
  • Meridian Craftworks: The Brand Born From My Becoming
There was a time in my life when I felt like I was disappearing. Not dramatically. Quietly. Bit by bit. Smile by smile. Under the pressure to be “realistic,” to be accepted, to be good. I forgot the girl I once was— the one with a soft voice, a gentle heart, but a fire that… Read more: Meridian Craftworks: The Brand Born From My Becoming
  • Me, My Inner Child, and My Highest Self: A Reunion Across Time
There was a day I realized I wasn’t walking alone anymore. Not because someone arrived to save me— but because I came home to myself. The little girl I thought I left behind, the one who dreamed in moonlight and wore invisible crowns— she waited for me. And so did the quiet, sacred part of me who had always known the way. My highest self. My guide. My light. Now we walk together. The child who dreams. The woman who protects. The soul who remembers. From three, we became one. And this… this is how we shine. Together.
  • A Love Letter to the Girl I Used to Be
I remember her. The girl who used to dance barefoot, who dreamed of marrying her prince in a white dress, who whispered wishes to the stars and truly believed they were listening. She was never lost—just waiting. And now, she’s returned to me. I no longer silence her voice. I hold her hand. I laugh with her. I let her lead. We are no longer divided. We are becoming whole.
  • The Treasure Was Never Out There: What The Alchemist Taught Me About Coming Home to Myself
When I closed The Alchemist, I didn’t just finish a story — I remembered a truth. That the treasure we seek — the success, the love, the meaning — was never waiting at the end of some far-off path. It was always within us. Like Santiago, I’ve wandered far. I’ve questioned, I’ve waited, I’ve surrendered. And in the quiet moments — no phone, no noise, just stillness — I’ve heard the voice of my own soul, soft and ancient, whispering: You are not lost. You are remembering.
